The 4x12 ortholinear mechanical keyboard was designed to minimize finger movement. Running the open-source QMK Firmware, the Planck allows complete customization of the small layout, and includes a speaker for audio feedback and music modes.

Building on the Planck's design, a number row was added to make it more welcoming to newcomers and gamers.

Planck PCB

PCB Design

Using the STM32 chipset, the Planck Rev 6 and Preonic Rev 3 PCBs were redesigned to accept many DIY-friendly components for extending their functionality. USB-C ports and Kailh's hot-swap sockets are also used in the design.
